I’m looking forward to 2026 and lots of new projects, following 2025 which has been a very busy year, with many photography projects completed.
Personally however, 2025 has been extremely challenging. After the passing of my mother in December 2024, I’ve spent much of my time helping my 90 year old father.
I’ve also had several other friends pass away from illness and age this year, who will be sorely missed. Plus, I have others who are critically ill, and my thoughts reach out to them and their families.
These losses have spurred me on to continue to donate platelets beyond my target of 500 donations, which I should achieve by March 2026. If you are a blood donor and you wish to ask whether you can donate platelets, here is the link:

As this new year starts, I’m looking forward to going along to the LAMMA show in the middle of the month. Some of you may already know, photographing agricultural machinery is a passion, and all things related to farming, whether in the factory or out in the fields. This is something I’ve done since 2018 – capturing images of the day to day farming activities – often shooting from dawn to dusk and into the night to capture the full range of activities taking place.
I’ve photographed farming equipment in action, such as John Deer, New Holand and Simba Horsch to capture images to be used in websites, magazines or for e-commerce pages.
I love working with farmers and farm equipment manufacturers and suppliers, and therefore also look forward to visiting the LAMMA where I’ll see many of my clients exhibiting.
The Lamma Show, from 14 – 15 January 2026 is at the NEC Birmingham.
This is the UK’ premier agricultural machinery and technology show. It’s all about connecting farmers across a variety of sectors with companies offering cutting-edge agricultural machinery, technology and equipment. Enabling them to have access to all of the new ideas, and for them to see how they can improve their efficiency and profitability in their businesses.
During the two days, there are often exclusive machinery launches and UK debuts along with a huge display of global brands and niche manufacturers all in one place. Visitors also have the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops alongside having time to meet other professionals working in the same industry.
The show has been running since 1982 when the first show ran as a small local event in Lincolnshire, focusing on agricultural machinery manufacturers from the region. It moved to the NEC Birmingham in 2019, and celebrated its 40thj anniversary in January 2022.
Alongside having time to catch up with existing clients, I’m looking forward to introducing myself to potential new clients who wish to elevate their imagery, creating a library of photos to be used in print, web and social media.
